Project:
I would like to have this house fully HMO and service accommodation compliant even though I will only be using it for my family. My parents will be downstairs and ofen leave the cooker on when I am at their own house. My kids will have a room upstairs and so will we.
If down the track my parents don’t or can’t come, and my kids don’t want to come back, then I wouldlike the choice of being able to use it as a holiday let. However my intention at the moment is just for family but I do want it to be compliant.
The only changes that I would like to make are
Ground Floor:
- An internal entrance porch so that they can quickly get out of the rain
- Moving the kitchen from the back to the front of the house
- Adding 1 partition wall
- adding one bathroom
First Floor
- Turning one bathroom into 2 ensuites
- Making two bedrooms into 1 bedroom by removing a stud wall and removing one door
- Adding insulation to the roof and sound proofing to the floors and firedoors
